At Infinite Composites, we take pride in the talented folks who make our team. This week we’d like to welcome one of our newest employees, Thom Howell, VP of Strategic Development & Programs.
Learn about Thom’s incredible background, and why he chose Infinite Composites.
Where are you originally from?
I was born in Michigan. When I was young, I moved to Arizona, where I got married and 3 children.
Prior to joining Infinite Composites, you had incredible industry experience (including Learjet, NORDAM, Jet Aviation, Bombadier Virgin Galactic, and more). What are some highlights?
The highlights of my career include working at Learjet, the best bizjet ever built; my time in the PRC working at Hubei ALI Jitai Aircraft Equipment with an entrepreneurial mindset company; and my time at Virgin Galactic.
Virgin Galactic’s vision of creating the first “Space Line” was intoxicating and exhilarating.
What are you most excited about in joining our new team?
I’m excited to join Infinite because I have been drawn throughout my career to envelop expanding companies and programs. Infinite Composites is producing cutting edge solutions to the pressure vessel industry.
The current trends in this market allow for virtually unlimited usage of our technology. Being able to leverage my experiences in an arena that permits exploration into the emerging space and alternate fuel markets is a dream come true for me. Although appealing as it may be, after over 43 years of very rewarding work, I am not ready to say I have done all I want to do. Very happy to have the opportunity with ICT.
When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?
I’m mostly a homebody. Having spent a large portion of my career away from home, and having lived in 5 different countries, I am quite content to fill my free time with home projects and time with family. I am blessed to have my wife of 43 years, 3 grown children and their spouses, along with my 6 grandchildren. I am very fortunate to have all of them locally here in the Tulsa area.
I’m also a Private Pilote and enjoy flying.
